No Need to print and Send the Images via Mail
Good news to underwater photographers participating in the Images of the World category. Starting from Epson Red Sea 2010, there is no longer a need to print the images and send the print via mail. Instead, each participant will be requested to send only a CD with the digital or scanned images in the post. The production will then print all images for the exhibition. This makes it easier more than ever to take part in this category.

About Epson Red Sea 2010

The Epson Red Sea 2010 event will take place on November 8-13th in Eilat, Israel. This will be the 6th year in a row in which the Red Sea World of Underwater Images event is being held in Eilat, while prizes are rapidly increasing from one year to the other.

The competition is open for all underwater photographers, including amateurs, professionals, videographers and more, and consists of two main categories.

The first category is called Images of the World, in which participants are invited to submit images that were shot anytime and anywhere around the world, without even attending the competition (see above).  Deadline for submitting images to this category is October 10th.

The second category is called Eilat Shoot-Out, in which participants submit only images that were taken during the three days of the competition in Eilat.

Prizes this year are valued at more than $80,000 and include luxurious diving trips in exotic destinations, expensive diving gear, professional underwater photography equipment, and of course- cash prizes. The first prize this year, one of many others, is a $10,000 check plus a trip for two to Papua New Guinea for 3 weeks including airfare.

Eilat Red Sea Live Underwater Broadcasts at the Photokina 2010 Fair

On September 21-23, during the Photokina 2010 Fair, Eilat Red Sea carried out live underwater broadcasts in full HD from bottom of the Red Sea in Eilat, Israel, straight to the Photokina Fair in Cologne, Germany. It was a very complicated project to establish, requiring a team of more than 30 experts, the most innovative technology and many months of preparations, but when the first live broadcast was finally presented on a huge screen at the fair, all of that didn’t seem to matter any longer. Eilat Red Sea, following the initiation and vision of producer David Pilosof, has managed to put on one of the most unforgettable shows!
