That's it. The Epson Red Sea 2011 event has concluded.
There's no doubt it was a week of consumption. We were consuming compressed air, many bottles of beer, Ouzo, vodka, batteries, memory cards and a whole lot of makeup.
But at the same time, it was also a week of production, as we managed to produce breathtaking images, exciting videos, the most amazing atmosphere and of course - very happy winners!
Amir Stern from Israel was the one to collect the most impressive prize of them all - a $10,000 check for the 1st place in the 5 Best Images category. As each category resulted this year with 3 winners, there were many other photographers hanging around with a huge smile on their face by the time the winning ceremony concluded.
The CNN team arrived to Eilat on November 2007 especially to cover the Eilat Red Sea competition and all those interesting stories behind the scenes and beneath the surface.
Eytan Nadel took the first prize of the Epson Red Sea 2010 Underwater Video Clip with "Ocean Dream", which awarded him with a diving safari in Bali and a DiveRoss video housing.
Epson Red Sea 2010 participants at their best - working hard underwater, drinking Uzo on land and fooling around no matter where they are found!
