USA Photographer of the Year 2009

The hunt is on…

The hunt is on to find the photographer who will be jetting off to the Red Sea free of charge to represent USA at this year’s Epson Red Sea 2009 contest.

Between the months of May and August, an online photography contest will be held in  partnership with DivePhotoGuide. Amateur and professional photographers from all over USA are invited to submit a series of 3 digital photos.
Photographers can submit their photos starting on 1st of May, 2009. 

Last date for submitting photos is 30th of August, 2009.

The online vote will start on September 1st and will continue until September 30th.
The winner chosen both by online voters and by a panel of 5 judges, will be the photographer who has submitted the best overall portfolio of three images rather than the best image.
The winner will be announced on October 5th, 2009.

USA Photographer of the Year will have his/her flights, accommodation and diving costs covered to compete at the Epson- Red Sea 2009 shoot-out in Eilat.

The 5^th Annual Epson Red Sea Competition will be held from 9-14 November 2009. The USA Photographer of the Year may submit images in several categories, such as Underwater Humour, Ecology & Nature, Wrecks, and Video Clips. There is also a special category for beginners.
