National Team Category

The National Team is a new category on the HP Red Sea Shoot-Out competition.
Starting from HP Red Sea 2012, photographers participating in the various categories of the Eilat Shoot-Out will also be able to compete in the this national team category.

 General Description

  • Teams –
o Each team participating in the National Team category should consist of 3 photographers from the same country, competing in the Eilat Shoot-Out.
o Photographers can team up independently. Alternatively, photographers can inquire at the competition office about other photographers from their country participating in the Eilat Shoot-Out for the purpose of joining forces.
o In general, there is no restraint on the number of teams originating from the same country. However, the number of Israeli teams cannot exceed the highest number of teams originating from other countries.
  • Images submission -
o Each team participating in this category should submit a portfolio of 6 best images – that is, 2 images per  team member.
o The portfolio submitted should introduce a link, story, series or a visual composition. The theme of the portfolio is open and can be humoristic, dramatic, protesting, etc.
o Team images should be submitted in Eilat on Thursday , November 8th, 14:00 am.
  • Judgment -
o Score - Each team will ranked by the public and by the judges. The team’s score will be calculated as following:
    o 20% - public votes
    o 80% - judges votes
The team that receives the highest integrated score will be announced as the winner.
  • Public’s score –
o Shortly after team images have been submitted, they will be uploaded to the competition website along the portfolio’s description (by Thursday, November 8th, 18:00 pm GMT +2).
o Any website registered member will then be able to enter the website, review the images and rank the teams. Note that anyone can register on the competition website.
o Voting will be open till Saturday, November 10th, at 10:00 am GMT +2. Public’s scores will then be calculated.
  • Judges score-
On Saturday evening, November 10th, during the HP Red Sea winning ceremony, teams images will be introduced on a huge screen, allowing each judge to rank and score the images of the different teams.
  • Integrated score -
Once all the scores have been granted, official competition representatives will calculate the final score of each team. The team with the highest integrated score will be announced as the winner of the National Team Category.
