General Information

Photographer of the Month
Between the months of January and May, the Eilat Red Sea 2013 Online Competition will take place. Each month during the competition, amateur and professional photographers from all over the world are invited to submit a portfolio of 3 digital photos. By the end of each month, 3 photographers will be announced as the winners of that particular month, chosen both by the public and by a panel of 5 international judges.

Photographer of the Year
An online competition among all the monthly winners (15 photographers) will then begin on June 1st, 2013. Online voters and a panel of 5 internatioal judges will eventually select one of the competitors as the “Photographer of the Year”.

Prize
Flights, accommodation (BB) and diving expenses will all be covered for the Photographer of the Year, in order to enable this winner to participate at the Eilat Red Sea 2012 shoot-out .

The 9th annual Eilat Red Sea competition will be held on October 20-26, 2013, in Eilat. Innovative categories and some very worthy prizes are planned for this year, making it very much worthwhile to be elected as the Photographer of the Year.

How to Participate?
• Professional and amateur photographers are all invited to submit their photos online (scanned film is also accepted).
• All participants must be registered.
• Each participant is allowed to submit up to 3 photos to the online competition.
• Participants can upload and modify photos during the first phase of submission.
• File size limit is 300 KB.
• Photos which have been previously submitted to any of the Eilat Red Sea competitions are not to be submitted again this year.
• Monthly winners cannot participate in an additional monthly competition.

Online Competition Timetable

Submitting Photos
Photographers can submit their photos starting from the 3rd of each month.
Last date for submitting photos is the 18th of each month.

Voting
Online voting will begin on the 19th of each month.
Last date for online voting is on the 30th of each month.

Announcing the Winners
The winners of each month will be announced on the 2nd of the following month.
On the following day, a new monthly competition begins.

Voting
Voting will be calculated as following:
30% of all points will be calculated by registered online voters.
70% of all points will be calculated by a panel of 5 International Judges - 14% for each judge.
The winners are the photographers who receive the highest combined score.

Who is allowed to Vote?
Only registered members are allowed to vote.

Important Notice for All Participants
By participating in the Eilat Red Sea ‘Photographer of the Month’ and ‘Photographer of the Year’ competitions, you hereby accept all rules and regulations as written in this document. By submitting your photos to the online competition, you declare that you have taken the photos and own the copyrights of each photograph submitted.

Submission to this competition grants the Eilat Red Sea with the right of copying and using your photos for the purpose of media coverage of the Eilat Red Sea competition, including the Eilat Red Sea competition album, Eilat Red Sea partners and Eilat Red Sea affiliates, only for the purpose of promoting the competition and only for two years following submission. You will receive full credits as the photographer. Your images will not be used for any commercial purpose other than promoting the Eilat Red Sea competition without your prior agreement.
